You may not feel movement under your feet, but for decor and ambiance, the LARail.com railcars beat a hotel banquet hall hands down (not to mention the company conference room).

The "Garden" at Union Station!

The private vintage railcars of LARail.com are stored at a special place at Union Station, kind of tucked in behind the old US Post Office Terminal Annex building just to the north of Union Station and certainly part of the Union Station train platform / yard complex.

How the Garden got its name is lost to history ... and all would agree that the area is much more industrial then garden like! Originally, the area was the business car park for the three railroads that owned and operated Los Angeles Union Passenger Terminal; Southern Pacific, AT&SF and Union Pacific. But just the same, it is a very exciting venue ... the surroundings definitely add to the experience!

The private car storage area is a live railroad yard, and cars come and go at the will of the owners. Like a marina, you never know what car might drop in or what car might leave for a journey.

Single Car Rental Rate for Overland Trail: (no other services)

Monday - Friday $200.00 / hour (two hour minimum)

Sunday - $300.00 / hour (two hour minimum)

Saturday - $1400.00 minimum charge for up to 8 hours of use. (Saturdays are our prime operating days)

We also ask for a $200.00 cleaning/damage deposit (usually refundable) in case something goes awry (beyond ordinary wear and tear). We ask that you leave the car the way you found it, but if you would like to "walk away" at the end of the event, $100.00 of your cleaning/damage deposit can be forfeited to cover cleaning. We reserve the right to monitor and end the event if the party were to get "out of hand"

You are free to stock and staff the railcar. An LARail.com staff person(s) will be with the equipment to ensure everything is on and functioning.

Multiple cars may be available at the same per car rates.

Parking at the "Garden at Union Station"

We have limited free parking near the railcars at the Garden for up to 5 vehicles. We encourage car pooling to the event or even riding the train (Amtrak or Metrolink) or the subway. Ample paid parking is available at Union Station.
