The San Diego Express - To Be Announced We've given you a few ideas ... maybe you'll come up with your own .. but please join us for a relaxing trip from Los Angeles (or any Orange County stop) to San Diego and back. With wonderful Southern California summer weather, do you really need a reason for an easy and special trip to Diego? Our train will wind its way through the fascinating industrial backsides of LA and Orange County until we reach Santa Ana. There, we hit our first fast track - 90mph(!) until we screech into Irvine. At departure, we'll race out of the depot on our way to San Juan Capistrano. After leaving SJC, it's not much longer until we hit the coast for some wonderful scenic miles with the ocean right outside our picture windows ... the train skirts the inlets, sloughs and beautiful beaches of the mighty Pacific Ocean for miles. After Oceanside and our run through Camp Pendleton, we'll stop at Solana Beach and let some folks off for the race track ... and then off we go with our climb up Miramar Hill, the next scenic highlight. Soon, we'll skirt Mission Bay and arrive San Diego at the foot of Broadway Street ... only blocks from the embaradero.
